New Class @ Treasured Memories

I am so excited to be back at Treasured Memories teaching. I created this mini book using "Knott Wood" one of Riff Raff's September shapes. I love the autumn season for all of it's amazing colors and this is what you'll find in this book. I used SEI's new Moravia line and the colors and textures are FaBuLoUs!! "I am Thankful" Mini Album Kit

This kit full of Autumn inspiration creates a fabulous mini album for all that you are thankful for. The album pages are various shapes and sizes, there are circle pages, acrylic pages, an envelope page, transparency pages and various sizes of pages. The book is designed to hold approximately 16 pictures in sizes: 3 1/2 x 5, 3x4 & 4x6. That however is up to you, more can be added. The product centers around Little Yellow Bicycle's " Autumn Bliss" line and is full of coordinating embellishments, ribbons and custom made transparency words. So wonderful. Supply list, tools required, instructions and photos are included.

Riff Raff

I wanted to share one of my favorite chipboard companies with you: Riff Raff! This husband & wife team started a company that set out to provide us with a new, fresh & funky alternative to all the various chipboard you can find in stores. Riff Raff was a dream come true for a wonderful friend of mine- Kara. She continues to dream up new ideas and directions for the company and I couldn't be more happy for her and her hunky hubby Ben. I also couldn't be more grateful for having the opportunity to be on their design team. Check out their website and see all the ideas the super talented ladies come up with to use the chipboard. Here are a few of my favorite layouts that I made using the Riff Raff chipboard:


The "Him & Her" are painted black (the heart on Her- red) and then they are covered in Diamond Glaze to create an epoxy finish.


The "W" from the alphabet collection is covered in copper Stickels from Tim Holtz.


The word "Girl" is painted, embossed with clear powder and the heart is covered in red Stickles from Tim Holtz. The "Fancy Flourish" is painted black, glimmer misted with Candy Apple and then covered in Diamond Glaze.


"Around the World" is painted black and then the journaling is placed over the shape.


"Layered Labels" is covered in pattern paper, and the edges of that paper are sanded to leave a white edge. The "Fancy Flourish" is spray painted copper and then covered in copper Stickels.

Mirror Album

Last year Heidi Swapp came out with a mirrored album and to go with the album were two different sets of clear pages, one in a love theme the other in a bird theme. Both fabulous sets. I made this mini book for a class I taught using the mirror album, the bird theme and her Dining Room collection of papers- so cute and the class was a hit! Wedding Frame

This is a frame I taught at Crop Crazy in Edson last month. It is made using the Kaiser Kraft flourish frames (the 3 frames come as a set), their papers and coordinating embellishments. The project is so simple to do, it does take a bit of time to cut out the papers though. I decide which way I want the papers to go, adhere them to the frames, cut them out with a craft knife and then sanded the edges to create a white border- be very careful if you try this as the flourish bits break off quite easily when you're doing the sanding. I then add flowers and gems, tied the frame together and hang it with tulle. Check out the classroom to see another set created using a different color scheme.
